Online Dating Advice for Women

Online dating has become very popular due to many reasons. It is easy, convenient and is a perfect option for people who are shy and lack social skills. Internet is flooded with online dating advice for women and men and while you don’t have to believe everything that they say, there are a few things which are necessary if you decide to start dating online.

1.    Be safe. Choose reputable dating sites, preferable the ones which require a paid membership. Frugality is a great quality, but when it comes to meeting the love of your life and your safety, you should think twice before using free dating sites. Free dating sites are not safe, because the members are not scanned and verified. At the same time if the site is not free, don’t assume that you are safe, because unfortunately there is a number of ‘bogus” sites with bogus profiles, which will take your money and not do what they promised.

Don’t list your phone and address on your profile to protect yourself from stalkers. If you have children, don’t post pictures with them just in case, because there are plenty of creepers and pedophiles out there.

If things are going well and you decided to go out on a date, always choose a crowded place and don’t agree to go to the person’s house or apartment. Also, it is a good idea to have a first date not too late at night.

2.    Market yourself, but be honest. Write about your best qualities in your profile, but don’t make anything up. If you only know how to microwave frozen food and boil water, don’t write that you are a good cook. If your favorite things to do are shopping and watching TV, don’t write that they are classical music and literature just so that the guys think you are classy and sophisticated.

3.    Picture. For your profile choose your best, but the most recent picture. You don’t want to post a picture where you are 10 years younger and 35 pounds lighter.
