Romantic Dinner Ideas to Spice Up Your Relationship

Doesn’t matter whether you are just developing your relationship, or have been married for 20 years, it pays off to be romantic. Use these romantic dinner ideas to spice up your relationship and make your romantic evening unforgettable.

Whether you are a professional cook or have never cooked in your life, nothing will impress your partner more like a meal prepared with your loving hands. The quality of food is not as significant as the romantic atmosphere (although make sure it is at least edible), so don’t get discouraged if the pasta you were trying to make glued together and meat looks slightly overdone. If your partner loves you, they might not even notice and if they do, you will most likely be forgiven.

If you don’t want to risk it, but still want to prepare a romantic dinner at home, do a take-out. Make sure you have fancy plates, nice tablecloth and candles ready at home. Prepare everything before your partner comes, because plastic white containers and plastic bags don’t look terrible romantic, no matter how low-maintenance you both are.

One of the greatest romantic dinner ideas is a “theme” dinner. If you know what your loved one likes, you can create an entire evening around it. For example, if they like ocean and seafood, order (or prepare) seafood, get placemats or napkins with pictures of crabs or fishes on them. You may also get them a little present, such as silver necklace with dolphin, or a CD with ocean sounds (which you may play during your dinner).

Don’t forget about candles. They help create romantic atmosphere and make any dining room look completely different.

If the weather is nice, you can take your romantic dinner outside. It might be hard to arrange music and fancy plates might not be appropriate, but a beautiful blue sky, flowers and signing birds will make up for it. It is nice to have dinner-picnic near the river or lake. If you don’t have these, go to park. Dining under the stars is especially romantic and sweet.

A fun romantic date idea is to order pizza and get it delivered to your partner with a note to meet you for example, at a park. When he/she comes, have a picnic set up. Oh, and by the way, don’t forget to pay for pizza up front.

No matter what you decide to do, don’t forget about dessert. You can’t go wrong with chocolate covered strawberries (unless your partner is allergic), or chocolate candy. If you are dining inside, get a torte, topped with whipped cream.

You may bring camera to take some pictures, although if you do everything right you will not need pictures to remember your special night. ;-)
