Creative and Easy Romantic Present

When it comes to picking a romantic present, some people like to stick to classics such as flowers, socks, or Russel Stover chocolates; others like unique and quirky surprises. Whatever the case there is a perfect romantic present, which can fit any taste and any budget.

If you haven’t guessed already, I am talking about gift baskets. Even though Edible Arrangements and pre-assembled gift baskets that you can buy at the store are nice and time-saving, I am not talking about them. I am talking about gift baskets which you can make yourself.

If you are short on cash, you may get a basket for about $3-$5 in a craft store or a dollar store.

If you are a procrastinator, like my husband, you can go to a grocery store and fill it up with fruits, candy, nuts, cookies, cheese and whatever else your loved one might enjoy. While you are at a grocery store, don’t forget to grab a card and write something nice in it.

If your significant other has a hobby, you may stick hobby-related stuff in your basket. It is not likely that you will find these at a grocery store (unless her hobby is cooking), so plan ahead. You may find lots of unique and inexpensive stuff on Amazonor eBay, but if you are looking for a romantic present for a special holiday, you need to do your shopping at least 2 weeks ahead of time, to make sure you get your gifts in time.

Stick some “love coupons”, such as “massage”, or “dinner out” in it as well.

I don’t suggest going to a dollar store and stuffing your gift basket with crap. Make sure your gifts are thoughtful.

If both of you drink wine, stick a bottle in the basket. If you did a good job in picking presents, chances are good that you both will enjoy the wine after your loved one opens the basket.

I bought small baskets at my dollar store for a buck each.
