When we are in love our judgments are often clouded. We are “seeing” things just because we want to see them, but at the same time we tend to overlook the most obvious signs which can tell us whether the person you are in love with is really into you.

The most important thing in every relationship is to be honest with yourself. If the guy you are madly in love with calls you only if he wants something from you, don’t try to find excuses for him. Most likely, he is not calling not because he is really busy or really shy, but because he is not that much into you. Or if he is flirting with every girl at the party, don’t think that he is doing it just to make you jealous. He is probably doing it because he likes women and don’t really care about what you think.

False hopes can make you feel better for a short period of time, but they can be very self-destructing in the long run. If you want to know whether the guy is really into you or not, read these clues:

1.    Remember that many men have a hard time expressing how they feel, so if he is not telling you that he is into you, it doesn’t mean that he is not. However, if he really likes you, he will try to be around as much as possible and he will find reasons and excuses to be near.

2.    If he emails, calls or texts you often, especially without a particular reason, he is probably into you as well. Many guys are afraid of rejection, so if his texts are not personal in the beginning, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. It might just mean that he is testing the waters.

3.    If you send him a texts and he replies within seconds on minutes, it is a good sign as well. If he replies to you the next day, he is probably not terribly interested.

4.    He is probably into you if he is trying to be very charming with your friends, especially with your best friends. “Sex and the City” generation knows how influential female friends ca be on a relationship, so if the guy is serious about you, he will try his best for your friends to like him. If he is flirting with your female friends though, it is another story.

5.    He likes to show you off. If you just started dating and the guy can’t wait to show you to his friends or even family, then he is proud of you and is most likely serious about you and your relationship. If you’ve been dating for months and you never met his friends, I would be concerned.
