The Coolest Ways to Propose Marriage

ways to proposeEven though there are thousands of ways to propose marriage, the majority of men prefer to pop up the question in a traditional setting – during romantic dinner. While this might be nice, many women dream that their men will ask them to get married in the most romantic, creative, perfect and memorable way.

One of my favorite ways to propose marriage is to re-create a romantic movie scene. If you are planning to get married to a girl, you should know what her favorite romantic movie is and try to fulfill a fantasy.

For example, if she likes Titanic, take her on a cruise and ask her to get married while you are standing at the front corner of the ship. If you cannot afford a cruise, take her to a boat ride, bring music along and play a soundtrack. Music can do wonders and she might feel like she is on Titanic (before it sank) with you.

We live in the age of science and technology, so why not to use it as a marriage proposal. Create a slide show or a music video for her. You may use her pictures, pictures of you both or simply beautiful pictures found on the internet. Don’t just put pictures together. Write something nice under each picture. You may write what you love about her, or if it easier for you, find some love quotes online. You have probably guessed that the last slide will have a question you want to ask.

Get wild. If she has a sense of humor, propose to her while you are on a Halloween party dressed as clowns or ducks and look absolutely ridiculous. I guarantee both of you will never forget this engagement. Be careful though. If you are not sure that your loved one has a good sense of humor, she may get offended and you will not only lose a fiancé, but ruin the party.

Another fun way to propose is to have the DJ of her favorite radio ask her if she will marry you. Not every DJ will do it, but many will and it can be arranged pretty easily.

If your girl is into poetry, get her a book of love poems and attach the engagement ring to it.

Re-create your first date. Unless you met during a car accident, this is a great and thoughtful way to propose.

Don’t be afraid to go crazy. Forget dinner at a restaurant. Be creative, so even your grandchildren would be proud of you.
